![]() I had forwarded the T6 starship mail to CS and written my story briefly at the top but apparently the CS person had only read the mail title because in return I got a copy & paste reply acknowledging I had difficulties reclaiming my starship code. Naturally I understood that it was a bulk mail to try to return people to the game who hadn't played for a while but I took the opportunity to contact CS again asking if it was possible now to resolve the incident that had made me leave. I left the game at that point and have spent my money elsewhere since then.įunny story, a year and a half later I received in the mail of my primary account, an offer for a T6 starship if I returned to the game. With this realization it was simply impossible to justify investing more time and money in the game since all effort could simply be removed from you without explanation or any way to restore it. I slowly realized that Cryptic had 100% confidence in their bot detection system and zero routines to handle false positives. ![]() I maintained a brief and civil communication with CS but every time I asked what exactly I had done wrong they simply ignored the question. Needless to say I don't use bots (although relentless accolade hunting might be mistaken for botting) and my primary account was still working just fine. When I contacted CS I was only met with a copy & paste response saying that the account was banned for botting. Frustration grew for a long time and on top of that I one day found that my secondary account had been banned without warning or any information. With every patch though it seemed something new broke in the Accolades system and the community's attempts to communicate with Cryptic were always met with silence. ![]() Those of you who know me, know that I invested huge amounts of time and effort in the Accolades community. I will leave the story here since people were curious of what happened and as a remainder of how easily customer satisfaction can be broken. ![]() NOTE: The incident below took place in 2014. ![]()
